Conspirational change is here (Manifesto)
Inspirational management is out. Conspirational change is in!
Alain Cardon, keynote speaker summIT 2016, MCCWe can wait for the divine providence to deploy the good things for us or we can start today with a small positive change around.
Our manifesto for the community:
- Encourage flat organizations
- Leadership is in everyone
- Change is the sum of multiple contributions
- Evolution, not revolution
- Everyone is entitled to contribute
According to Hoefstede, Romania has a high index in avoiding uncertainty and a high distance to the power. Having an index of 90 for the Power Distance “means that people accept a hierarchical order in which everybody has a place and which needs no further justification. Hierarchy in an organization is seen as reflecting inherent inequalities, centralization is popular, subordinates expect to be told what to do and the ideal boss is a benevolent autocrat“*. On the other hand, a similar high index in the “Uncertainty Avoidance ” shows that there is an emotional need for rules (even if the rules never seem to work) time is money, people have an inner urge to be busy and work hard, precision and punctuality are the norm, innovation may be resisted, security is an important element in individual motivation“*.
If you add on top of these the fact that societies with a low score in Indulgence (Romania has 20) have a tendency to cynicism and pessimism and you will understand our society better.
However, the mood in the world is not easy to grasp and taking the lead in defining our future might be the only reasonable chance we have to improve our situation. Being a leader in a company, in NGO or even in a group of friends is not for ever and not for granted. Share your ideas, support the others, create a culture of trust and collaboration.
Leadership does not need a title. It needs ACTION!
Disrupt your business, disrupt your activity, make the most of your time and experience!
Inspirational management is outdated. Conspirational change is the new way. Start moving ideas! Start moving people!
